Joan Salomon has been involved with needles and yarn since the age of five, when her mother taught her how to knit. Ever since then she has worked in various creative capacities, most recently as a visual merchandiser and animal artist. She has also taught knitting to children and adults and now focuses on creating her unique, one-of-a-kind, hand knitted teddy bears. Every Knit with Love bear is designed and knit entirely by her, using the most artistic and beautiful yarns, which are themselves one-of-a-kind. Many bears wear sweaters or outfits made by her as well. Clothing with functional buttons & buttonholes, unusual knitted neck ornaments and hand embroidered paw pads, are some of the details that make Joan's bears truly heirloom quality works of art that are treasured by all who own one.
